After-hike smoothie!

Nothing is better than taking off your hiking boots and putting on slippers… Ok, perhaps a cold, filling smoothie would be great! Here’s one we made today with stuff you probably already have at home:

1 cup milk
1 banana (apple bananas are fine! we used two of these)
1/4 cup peanut butter (we like the organic kind that is really peanuty)
2 tbsp honey
1 cup Cheerios (Honey Nut is really good for this! It’s our “protein powder” – ha ha! really just to thicken it a tad)
1 cup crushed ice

Makes 2 8oz servings – 373 cal each serving

Blend it up and enjoy! See if it tastes like the famous Kailua Monkey from Lanikai Juice. We’re totally hooked on that!!!
