The family enjoyed a walk through Foster Botanical Gardens over the Thanksgiving holiday. Because it’s on the leeward side, it will tend to be less wet than windward hikes during the winter months and it’s certainly small enough to be accessible for almost anyone – preschooler to visiting tutu. The gardens are gorgeous and the trees are immense. There is a butterfly garden onsite, restrooms, and parking seemed pretty easy (off-street right at the garden entrance). Expect to pay a small fee for entrance and plan about 90 minutes for a relaxed excursion.

Lots of shade, good spots for a picnic lunch, very easy walk, absolutely zero treachery 😉
